We are committed to making our website as accessible as possible and to ensuring that all people – regardless of physical or cognitive limitations – can access our content.

Our website has been designed responsively, making it usable on a variety of devices. Additionally, we have integrated an accessibility widget that allows visitors to individually adjust display and navigation settings (e.g., font size adjustment, contrast changes, keyboard navigation).

As this is an older website, no comprehensive accessibility-specific adjustments have been made so far. Therefore, full implementation of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, is not currently achieved.

 

Implementation Status

• Our website is available in multiple languages to ensure the widest possible reach.
• Navigation is clearly structured; important menu items and offerings are easy to locate.
• Responsive web design for mobile devices and desktops
• Integration of an accessibility widget for individual accessibility options
• Basic browser compatibility
• We strive to label all interactive elements (forms, links, buttons) and enable keyboard navigation.
• Notices are provided, for example, when JavaScript is disabled, to ensure users without certain browser features are not excluded.
• The legal notice, privacy policy, and cookie policy are easy to find.

 

Existing Limitations and Planned Improvements

Despite our efforts, not all barriers have been fully eliminated. Some examples include:

• Not all images currently have descriptive alt text.
• The contrast between text and background images in some cases falls below recommended minimum levels.
• Keyboard navigation has not yet been fully tested across all areas of the website.
• On mobile devices, zoom levels over 150% or increased font sizes may cause layouts to shift or content to overlap.

 

Technical Compatibility

Our website is usable with current versions of common browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
Use with assistive technologies such as screen readers (e.g., JAWS, NVDA) is partially possible but may be limited depending on the content and functionality.

 

Outlook

We are committed to:

1. Adding alt text to all relevant images, in all language versions.
2. Reviewing and adjusting contrast ratios to meet at least WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.
3. Systematically testing keyboard accessibility and ensuring that all interactive elements are clearly focusable.
4. Ensuring that error and status messages in forms and alerts are understandable to screen reader users.
